Our name describes how we work. We start with the ground and finish with a structure meant to stand for generations.

About Plot & Pillar

A builder founded on one idea: a home should be planned properly, built well, and worth every dollar its owner puts into it.

In real estate a "door" is one home or unit. We count every one, from single-family houses to townhomes.
Plot & Pillar began right after high school, with an interest in real estate and a clear purpose: build homes that last.
Too many new homes are rushed. The plan is an afterthought, corners get cut, and the owner finds out years later. We started this company to do the opposite. Every home we build is properly planned and thought through before work begins.
A home is usually the largest purchase a family will make. The people who buy one deserve to feel sure about it on move-in day and ten years later. That idea shapes every decision we make, from the layout of the lot to the last fixture installed.
This summer we completed our 35th door. Most of our work is in Washington on the West Coast, with a handful of homes in the Carolinas and a few in Nashville.

Site, layout, light and flow are worked out on paper first. Problems solved during planning never become problems for the owner.
Built to last
We spend where it matters: structure, envelope and finishes that wear well. A home should look as good in year ten as it does on day one.
